From Search Challenge to Online Authority
In 2009, searching for “Rich Flores” online often led to results for a powerlifter, not the talented local golf pro. Northern Sky Designs changed all that. We designed a custom website tailored specifically for Rich, featuring:
- His professional background
- Lesson offerings and rates
- Other golf-related services
We even handled the photography ourselves, ensuring a personalized and high-quality presentation. To further enhance his online presence and engagement, we also designed a unique QR code for his teaching studio. Students can easily scan this code on a flyer to leave a Google review, streamlining the process for valuable feedback.
A Friend in Need: Leveraging Design for Good
Our relationship with Rich went beyond business. When he fell ill in 2010, we recognized an opportunity to leverage and donate our web design skills for a greater purpose. We quickly developed FriendsofRichFlores.org, a dedicated website designed to raise funds for his medical bills. This site enabled people to register and pay for attendance to a special golf outing and fundraising dinner, creating a streamlined process for community support.
